It's all in the name.
Our name holds great meaning to us. New Horizons Yoga. It is a play on my late grandparent's legacy, Horizons End (an RV campground located on HWY 27 close to I-4). But yoga isn't an end. It is a beginning. It can make old new again. It can make you learn to live in the here and now. It will make you feel good. So the name was shuffled around a bit. New Horizons Yoga.
I remember the first time I did yoga. I was with my grandma (sometimes known as "MeMa") when I was in middle school. The instructor had us try a headstand against the wall. I knew I loved yoga that moment. There is something magical about doing yoga. It makes your whole body feel alive. I can never quiet explain that feeling I feel after a yoga class. Wonderful. I want to give that to everyone. Yoga makes me feel wonderful.
My mother, Sharon, and I enjoyed taking our Yoga Teacher Training together in Ybor City. Since then, we have wanted to teach yoga. Hell, we’ve wanted to take yoga. But the closest studios are 30 mins away in any direction. We were always not wonderful after the maddening drive home on I-4. We yearned to have something closer and a space to call our own. And like out of a storybook the perfect space came for rent right when we decided it was time. We were opening a yoga studio.
So please join us at New Horizons Yoga. Join us in peace and flexibility. Join us in balance and strength. Join us in a yoga community close to home.
